For those of you who have not attended Imaging USA before, it was fantastic! The expo reported having more vendors and more attendees than ever before and the conference center was AMAZING. The vendors were offering some great show specials one even had a monte carlo style give away. As I wound my way through the rows and rows of vendors, filling my bag with their printed goodies, I felt like a mouse storing up his entire winter food supply!
There were gads of album companies, but I have to say Finao Albums knocked it out the park with their abundance of uber cool cover designs and super sheik loungy Morocco inspired booth. I wish I had brought my camera along to capture it, but it was imperative to keep the weight in my shoulder bag to a draggable limit.
Having a smorgesboard of speakers and a revolving door format, kept things interesting and offered a variety of education to choose from. It was wonderful to be with so many passionate, like minded, right brained, non math-loving, ADD individuals. It can make you feel normal!
I kept hoping I would get a chance to see San Antonio, but with my days starting early and running late, I finally had to skip out of my last class on Tuesday to get some photos before the sun went down, since it was my last evening there. I took a stroll along the river walk. It was beautiful, quaint and charming all rolled into one. Lined with restaurants and shops of every kind, it was a tourist's paradise! It became my paradise when I found the Casa Rio! Delicious salsa, a yummy margarita and a mariachi band to serenade me, aaaahhh life's good. I recognized the word Loco in the lyrics and thought they were calling me crazy incognito style, but come to find out the words go something like; my lips are crazy for you, my arms are crazy for you, etc., etc.., lucky for them they cleared that up ;)
I hope to go back to San Antonio, just for fun. The people were so friendly, the food was outstanding and I felt real at home around the cowboy hats and boots!

The picture on the right was the view from my seat at the restaurant. I loved the lights on the water.

Remember that yummy margarita I talked about? I followed it up with a yummy dessert! It was worth the extra work outs at the gym :)

Off to bed...so tired....
